Online Content and Services

Scenic Wonders, Inc. (SWI) expertise in online content and services has its origins in founder Matthew Peterson's work as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for the Dynatech Video Group. While at Dynatech, Peterson initiated and lead a transition to electronic marketing, including the implementation of a worldwide sales and marketing computer network, electronic contact management for sales and promotion, and electronic delivery of PR materials to secure improved press coverage.

SWI was able to leverage this experience onto the Internet later in the decade when it created and managed web sites for the Video Services Forum industry association and for the VidTranS conference.

These sites where designed to cost-effectively promote the activities of the SWI clients, grow revenue from membership and attendance, and provide resources for industry development. One key business development programs created by SWI was the industry's first online directory of video telecommunications service providers.

The sites were integrated components of business programs created and operated by SWI that included the aggregation and maintaince of industry contact databases and the design and execution of promotional initiatives. These promotional initiatives included electronic PR, direct e-mail, and affinity packages for member web sites.

Through an investment and professional services relationship with MyWeather LLC, SWI provided Peterson's services as president during that company's startup years. During this time, the company launched and grew a nationwide network of online consumer services. This innovative, personalized content attracted over one million registered subscribers while providing MyWeather's clients with online brand extension, promotional opportunities, and sponsorship revenue.

Following the successful launch of the registration services, Peterson and MyWeather launched a consumer direct marketing operation to up-sell paid content services. This initiative resulted in thousands of paid subscribers and was extended to an affinity program for network partners.

SWI currently has an online business information venture with digitalcinemareport.com designed to foster the growth of an emerging digital media industry segment. Previous SWI expereince in direct marketing, electronic services delivery, and advertorial promotion are all being applied to this enterprise.
